Resident Involvement

We want to build working partnerships with our tenants so that they can influence decisions within their local community, as well as help shape the housing services we provide. There are many different ways you can get involved.

Annual Involvement Impact Assessment

We have carried out  a review of the impact that our resident involvement has on our services.  The review looks at how we have met the targets that we have set ourselves in terms of resident involvement and how our residents have benefitted from this.  For each activity we set a number of objectives and the Annual Involvement Impact Assessment details how we have  achieved these.  A green circle means that we have fully achieved our objectives for this task and an amber circle means that the objective has been partially met but improvements in this area are still needed.

Click here to see a copy of the Annual Involvement Impact Assessment. Or if you would like us to send you a copy please call us on 0800 876 6060.

Neighbours and Neighbourhoods

We have a brand new community website which has been designed with the MDHA Residents' Association to promote community activities and the role of the Residents' Association. Residents can go to the site to find out latest news, when community events are taking place, how to get involved, how much time committment and infulence each involvement activity has, see pictures of events, read meeting minutes, give feedback, contact the MDHA Residents' Association and find out more about their role. To go directly to the Neighbours and Neighbourhoods website click here.

Residents Association

All our tenants have the opportunity to join the Maidenhead and District Housing Association Residents' Association, which meets with staff and Directors to discuss the housing services we provide. If you want to find out more about the Residents Association please contact Johanna Barrett on 01628 543124 or email her at jbarrett@mdha.co.uk.

Community Action GroupsCommunity Action Groups

If you would like help with setting up a community or residents group or a community project please call our Community Liaison Officer on 01628 543124 or click here to send an e mail.

Focus Groups

You can come along to one of our regular Residents Focus Groups, which now provide us with constant feedback on our services, and the changing needs and expectations of our tenants. As a thank you for taking part, each participating household will receive £20 worth of gift vouchers. To volunteer click here to send us an email or call 0800 876 6060.

Mystery Shoppers

We use tenants as mystery shoppers to evaluate the quality of our customer service. Full training is provided. The mystery shoppers work from home and are paid in gift vouchers. For further details please click here to send an email or call our Policy and Performance Manager on 01628 543070.

Residents Reading Panels

We want all the written information which is available to tenants and leaseholders to be written in plain English so that it is easy to understand, relevant and useful. We have set up reading panels with our own tenants and leaseholders who read resident literature and give us feedback from a tenant and leaseholder perspective.  If you would like to join the reading panel please call Diane Kane on 01628 543156.

Surveys

Tenants Satisfaction Survey
We conduct a postal survey every two years, using the National Housing Federation’s Status Survey. We do the survey to receive feedback from tenants on how well they feel we are doing as their landlord. The survey is used by other housing associations so we are able to compare results with landlords of a similar size, operating in the south east of England.

Estate Walkabouts

If you have concerns about your local area and you want to let us know, why not join your area housing officer for an informal walkabout of your local area to raise any issues or concerns you have. Look in the Tenants News section on  this website or in Streets Ahead for details of future walkabouts, or you can contact us on 0800 876 60 60 to find out.
