A date stone at Maidenhead’s newest elderly care home will be unveiled this week. Councillor Pam Proctor and John Petitt, Chief Executive of Housing Solutions will be unveiling the stone inscribed with ‘2006’ to mark the latest stage in the building process at 21 Courthouse Road.
21 Courthouse Road, which is due to be completed later this year, is the first new general needs elderly persons care home to be built in the Borough for many years. It is being built by Housing Solutions in partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
The care home will provide accommodation for 76 elderly people. It has been designed in five wings, and each wing will have its own communal lounge and dining area for residents to use. There will also be level access to the outside, either to a garden or a balcony, from each of the five wings.
