Julie Howard, who runs the Repair with Care Service at Maidenhead and District Housing Association was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2010 Housing Heroes Awards. She was nominated by her colleagues for the Inspirational Colleague of the Year category within the awards. There awere five other finalists for this award.
This is the second year running that we have received a silver award from RoSPA.
The RoSPA award scheme encourages organisations to develop robust health and safety management systems which reduce the number of accidents and cases if ill health at work.

We have won the National Housing Maintenance Forums's Award for the Most Innovative Direct Labour Organisation. This is the second year running that we have won one of these prestige national awards which recognise best practice in the maintenance of social housing. Last year we won the award for the organisation best at meeting residents’ needs.

This demonstrates to the housing industry that we have a top notch responsive repairs service that we should all be proud of.”
We won the award last year for the radical overhaul of our repairs service in response to customers needs.
This year’s award winning submission was based on the way we have delivered and developed the service, introducing new initiatives such as the Home MOT and the Handyman Service, as well as achieving cost efficiencies and very high levels of customer satisfaction.
